I think most people know this already, but I've seen conflicting figures. Since I just got it straight from the horse's mouth (Shire's biochemistry dep), I thought I would share.
total d-amp in 100mg Vyvanse = 29.6mg which is equivalent to 40mg Dexedrine or 4 10mg IR tabs (7.34mg -d-amp x 4). Now, if they would just share their plasma levels over time...that would be great.
I guess it doesn't really matter. The rate of conversion/delivery system is what is making me struggle w/ the Vyvanse. I'm able to have better symptom control by taking less total d-amp (45mg of IR Dexedrine throughout the day or 32.9mg total d-amp) vs. my current 100mg Vyvanse plus the 10mg IR Dex booster (36.9mg total d-amp). The numbers are pretty close, but the improvement in symptoms and side effects is dramatic.
Maybe this will help others, I don't know.
