For some time I have wanted to have an integrated Blogging system added to the forums, however integrating a multi-user blog system like WordPress MU (etc) to the vBulletin database has been a big hurdle in a number of ways, not the least of which is security issues.

Late in 2007 vBulletin (the maker of our forum software) decided to offer an add-on Blog system that perfectly integrates with the forums software and user database. This blogging system isn't as expansive as I would like to see it in the ability of the blogger to customize every aspect with personalized styles, graphics and so on, but it is very functional for blogging. I'm told many new features are coming down the pipe in the near future, so we will use it the way it stands now and enhance it as upgrades become available.

You can access the blogs by clicking on "Blogs" up in the Navigation Bar or you can get there by clicking this link: http://www.addforums.com/forums/blog.php

Enjoy!

There must be a catch... what is the cost per viewer? Any roaming fees? Oh, I know... Is it a fee per character, as opposed to per post?

I'm sure many will utilize this very significant addition to the forums!

Ban Fitline Champion.

Is there any way to require say 25 posts to make a blog post to stop the spambots?
