I was hoping for a bit of help here. My sister is bipolar and on medications (no I don't know what). I know a bit about bipolar, and I know my sister, and I was hoping for some advice on how to help her get out of her depressive funks, or if it's even possible to help someone out of that.
I know she doesn't like it when she's depressed, and I don't like to see her like that either. Any suggestions?

Excersise in studies has had the same effect as being on an anti-depressant. Use medication and excerise and the effects are even better.
Getting natural light in the day helps as too much artifical light is depressing and causes fatigue. Getting outside for fresh air is better but obvious won't work in winter.

How do I get her out and about if she doesn't want to leave the house or do anything?

Be a pest...try to get her to walk to the door, and stand with the door open....then the next time get her to walk outside and stand near the house...keep pushing her. I went through something similar years ago...perseverance won out.
