Just curious, do the dexedrine spansules actually last for 12 hours for anyone???

The MOST it lasts for me is 6 hours. So I have to take it twice a day.

I used to take Dextrostat (the brand name for LA dexedrine).

I'd take it, it would last for about 8 hrs, and then I'd take IRs.

I take dexedrine spansules in the morning, and take IR's after 8 hrs .. my pdoc said they last 8 hrs.

A 15mg Spansule lasts me 6-6.5 hours tops, and not too strongly either.

Ah, so I'm not the only one that has that .. I sort of started to suspect that but bc it wears of so gradually I found it hard to tell. At the end of an IR I can really tell and usually don't forget the next dose .. but with the spansules I forget them all the time .. 2 hrs later I find myself way off in space.

- LMG: hey you, what you're doing here? You're supposed to be on dex this time of day .. doin' things ..
- Me: ow gosh .. *looks around bewildered* .. *slaps forehead* .. *returns to earth*
- LMG: and no 'thank you' either .. tsssk.

I've started wondering how it is possible that 20 mg of extended release does not seem to equal 2 x 10 mg IR .. hmm. Lots of hidden variables I suppose.
My pdoc proposed me to up to 30 mg spansule(s) (plus some IR's after 4 pm until night) but haven't tried yet.
4 x 10 mg IR was quite OK.

I just got my spansules will start titrating tomorrow, I find 20mg IR * 3 times a day lasts a full 12-14 hours, anyone know a rough equivalent for Spansules?:confused:
