I think my doctor will give me free reign to whatever ADD medications work for me....I've been on Adderall for years but the side effects are getting to me..I feel creepy. I want something much smoother. So it's either Dex Spans, IR, or Vyvanse.. and if I get Dex...should I get generic or brand? So many things to choose.

I'd get brand Dexedrine IRs personally.

I'm interested in knowing this too, I'm switching from Adderall XR to Dex Spansules in a day or two, but from what I've read spansules don't last more than 6-8 hours. I have an extremely fast metabolism so for me they will last probably closer to 6. Is taking IR a better choice for me?

Depends how much coverage you need per day

I really like 12 hours a day of coverage via 3x IR dosing.

with XR/spanuals they are like 2x doses of IR in one pill. so you end up getting 8 hours of coverage. (16 hours of coverage if you take 2 per day.)

vyvansee covers ~12 hours in 1 dose.

My doctor had me titrate up to an IR dose that lasts ~4 hours and asked me how much coverage of the day I needed.
