I have been on 20mg XR for a month, and just for insurance reasons, switched to IR. My doc gave me a script today for 20mg IR 2x's a day.
Isn't that the same as a 40mg XR? Should I split the IR's and take it 4 times a day? Would that be the same as a 20mg XR?

I would personally just split one 20mg pill and take it twice a day and see if that works. If not increase to three times, then 4 times.

you should ask your doc to clarify, since he/she prescribed it to you.

20mgs XR = 2 - 10mgs 3-4 hours apart
