It has been suggested that I supplement my treatment with Piracetam. If it's not one of the large US supplement companies, I'm way too worried to just order off the internet. Has anyone tried Piracetam, had a good effect-- taste tested / mother approved-- and can recommend a manufacturer, and where to purchase?

Hi Wilford, and welcome aboard. This is a great question. I ran Piracetam through the ConsumerLab's website (I have a subscription), and they did not have any information on it. :-( I'm clueless, then.
Are you going non-med then? What kind of practitioner recommended it to you, I'm curious! :-)

Thanks for checking, appreciate that. Piracetam would be an adjunct to Adderall XR, Adderall IR and Provigil. 30mg XR in the morning, 15mg Adderall IR at noon, 3:30 and 6pm; Provigil 10 to 15 mg, 3 times a day. I also take Nature Made Omega-3 gelcaps-- 3 gel caps, 3 times a day (the Omega-3 is my favorite and wouldn't go without it).
Provigil is a "fine" treatment, but its unintended benefit for me has been alleviating the low-grade-blues and brain fog that accompany particularly hyperactive/inattentive days-- that said, it does improve concentration, however at high doses it can get me feeling uncomfortable.
I am hoping to try Piracetam instead of the Provigil to see if it works better. I'm not looking to complicate the regimen. If one goes in, another goes out:)
A friend-- not an MD nor involved in any related field-- mentioned it to me about a year ago. Until a month ago, I was under the impression I was taking it-- Provigil/Peracetam, two funny words that begin with P, what can I say:confused:
Anyone try Nuvigil?-- better efficacy or just a patent thing? (I believe it is to Provigil what Focilin is to Ritalin-- some derivation).
Thanks again for checking it out.
Wil
I got my piracetam from a company called "Relentless Improvement." I'm fairly sure they by it elsewhere and have it private-labelled. Maybe their site could give you some useful info.

Thanks, their site looks good and the information is comprehensive. I'll see how it works. I'd like replace Provigil with something less, well-- "zing" at times. From what people post about Piracetam, could be a nice adjunct to the standard treatment-- save the Provigil for the very brain foggy + inattentive days.
