Engineering and Consciousness

The Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) program, which flourished for nearly three decades under the aegis of Princeton University's School of Engineering and Applied Science, has completed its experimental agenda of studying the interaction of human consciousness with sensitive physical devices, systems, and processes, and developing complementary theoretical models to enable better understanding of the role of consciousness in the establishment of physical reality.

It has now incorporated its present and future operations into the broader venue of the International Consciousness Research Laboratories (ICRL), a 501(c)(3) organization chartered in the State of New Jersey. In this new locus and era, PEAR plans to expand its archiving, outreach, education, and entrepreneurial activities into broader technical and cultural context, maintaining its heritage of commitment to intellectual rigor and integrity, pragmatic and beneficial relevance of its techniques and insights, and sophistication of its spiritual implications. While I'm not going to spend enough time going over this to come to an informed opinion, I wanted to hear from someone that has...

Errrrr..... show me the raw data proving that at 09:43:34 UTC 4,501,342 of "us" had an identifiably similar emotion or an intention.

At any given moment in time millions of us will share the intention of defecating followed a short while later by the pleasant emotion of relief...

whle at the same time millions of us are dying,giving birth, having an orgasm, being told of the death of a loved one.....etc

The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place

It's all Greek to me,

My idea of collective consciousness has always been the exact experience we have in every day life.

Knowing our selves through each other, interactive processes generating a self hypothesis about how we fit in to our social environment.

It is rather fascinating with out adding much to it if you ask me.

And meeting other people with ADD is another relief. First online, but now IRL as well and that's amazing. Finally - people that I understand completely.

I've been 'different' my whole life in a way that I never understood, and therefore I never could connect to others because they did not think like me, feel like me. I was isolated and lonely and strange.

And then I suddenly meet people that think exactly like I do, that understand all these things because they have been throught the same, and I recognise their motivation and pain and hope and sadness and joy, even without words.

And then, all of a sudden, I am no longer aline, all of a sudden I have become complete. The sensation is so strong that it almost is like being in love. Maybe it is even deeper than that. Some sort of peace with the world. That, whatever happens, it's OK. Because, from now on, I am part of it.
