I was just diagnosed on thursday and go in for medication evaluation next thursday. I was diagnosed with severe inattentive and was wondering if anyone else has this and what medicene they took which was best for them. I knoe everyone reacts differently to different medicenes but if we are both diagnosed with the same thing maybe I can get a better idea of what to ask the doctor about on my evaluation. My psychologist was telling me that it could take as long as six months to find the right medicene for me!

First, your psychologist is right. For me it actually took about 2 years! I could not find the best dosages or medicine. I was severe inattentive and hyperactive. The med that works best for me is Adderal. I tried ritalin and could not get used to the "shakey-feeling" side-effects so I was switched to dexadrine and then welbutrin and finally a friend of mine who also has ADD said that Adderall worked the best for her, so I tried it. So far is has been the best fit. It still gives me a major headache sometimes, but overall it works well. I have not yet tried Straterra, so I can't give any info or opinion on it.
Good luck and I hope this helped some.
