I many cases I wake up at 4 or 5 am and want to go back to sleep. I want to go back to sleep until 6:30 AM or at least doze and relax but instead I get all keyed up and restless. I feel a need to get up and move around. I can not just lay there anymore even though I did not get much sleep and are so tired. The average person would wake up early look at the clock and while feeling relaxed would doze back to sleep. Wouldn't they?

i don't. Once i'm awake, that's it. Unless i'm sick, of course. We have our bedroom windows completely covered tightly with thick black cloth to keep it dark when we sleep. You'd think it would help me to go back to sleep, but it doesn't. My brain isn't fooled by this. It knows it's morning. If i don't get up, i will just lay there with my brain chattering away at me with songs and commercials and that stupid inner dialogue that doesn't shut up until i take my Adderall. Better for me to just get up than lay there and get annoyed with myself.
