so i just started on adderall and i don't know if i would consider the feeling im getting euphoric or not. im definitely happier when the meds are in affect.

what i'm curious about is if you got the euphoric feeling how long did it take you to stop feeling euphoric. im curious whether what im getting is some form of mild euphoria or if it's reducing mild depression i've could have had my whole life due to innatentive (which i def think i've had) and i'm not perpetually mildly depressed anymore.

so like after how many weeks did it go away for you? so i can get a timeline and i can keep an eye on it.

Is it the sense of accomplishment from being stable from the medicine causing relief or a 'high' that is making you "euphoric"???

i dont think it's euphoric. im mostly calm and very focused and i get a lot more outgoing and motivated (because i know if i want to do something i actually can) but i just sorta wanna keep in mind that after so many weeks that it could potentially go away. i'm just not sure how many weeks it takes on average for a euphoric feeling to go away

If you use them properly, it shouldn't go away, if it is the feeling I think you mean.

I do so love my Adderall. Yes, that's basically the feeling I get too. I think it means the meds are working. Someone said the feeling of "general well being" is partly due to increased dopamine levels. Others would be able to say better than me. I'm also told it shouldn't go away, though you may get used to it a bit.

Mooch -just wondering - since you've started - how much/often are you taking?

10mg ir 3x a day but im allowed to fiddle and i do 5mg as my last dose so i sleep normally

I started at a very low dose of adderall 5mg for the first week and the superman feeling faded after about 3-4 days. My doctor had me titrate up slowly until I found a single dose that lasted ~4 hours. Increasing my dose after about a week.

I really like a 3x per day IR for ~12 hours of coverage. I also found a bigger first dose + smaller 2nd/3rd doses reduced rebound.

With Adderall I titrated to 10mg 3 times per day and got best results @ 10,10,5.

However I had too many adrenal side effects with adderall and now take dexedrine 10,5,5. Dexedrine works well for focus, but my executive function was better on adderall.
