I currently take 20 mg of Adderall Xr and although it's the perfect study aid, (I can actually concentrate on coursework and homework now). I feel like it has weird social effects...I get much more serious and uptight and maybe a little anxious.

Is Dexedrine better in general as a study aid and as medication that doesn't make you feel like a weirder version of yourself?

This depends on who's taking it. For me, I found the same social problem with Adderall, and found that Dexedrine worked very well in social settings.
