Has anyone toyed with subliminal visual/audio messages and did they help you at all? I know computer progeams exist that flash messages so quick you cant read them but supposedly your subconcous mesures them and accepts them as truth but, has anyone tried anything like this?

I have. Didn't find them that effective for me though....
I downloaded the one I use for free, but I just tried to get back to the website and it isn't there anymore.
Maybe something here (http://www.download.com/3120-20_4.html?qt=subliminal+messages&tag=srch&tg=dl-20) would be useful?

I don’t trust them and would have nothing to do with them. I feel the same way about hypnotherapy. It must be something to do with needing to be in control. I do experience another type of subliminal messages, bits of other people’s conversations occasionally feel like a message for me. I can get these from anywhere, even from TV, movies and the pages of a book. It freaked me out a bit when I was younger but I got used to it. Today, I just think, here we go again. I’m kinda bored with it.

With the subliminal message program I used, you program your own messages into it - I used affirmations and had them flash very fast on my screen. Ineffective for the most part though... any benefit I did get wasn't noticeable.
Don't think I'd try hypnosis again, seeing as it didn't last for me :(

I am into affirmation. And that sounds like a cool prog. What is it and where can I get it?

It was freeware - the original website seems to be closed now (just has one of those pages with ads for other things now)
In the link in my post above I just did a quick search on Download.com, and found a few titles for similar programmes. If I do manage to track down the original one ever, I'll post with it. Might have a dig around actually and see how some of them compare to the one I have....
I got a fantastic programme if you're into affirmations - it's called Sculptor 3 from Affirmware ($70-ish I think), and it has a subliminal function (you can enter your own affirmations) but they only flash at the bottom of the screen so easy to miss.
I won't go on at length about it (& I'm not a seller or anything) - it's basically to help you with your affirmations in a structured way and it's got a soundfile with alpha (& beta I think) tones you can listen to while doing them, and some exercises to do and goal setting/journalling function.
It's great, if I could only remember to do it every day :p
(One thing I loved about it, is it gets you to type in your first response to the affirmations, so you can keep track of where your own attitudes or negative thinking might be sabotaging your success :) )

Sounds good. I have downloaded one. I'll check it out later.
