I been using Adderall XR on and off for the past year or so, I cant get used to it, after 9 hours from using it, i get reallllly mad and depressed, bad headach, and feel very tired. what should I do? I tried stratera before and that didnt work with me. I started getting scared from taking the XR. I need help please

everyone reacts different to different meds. Also - there might be issues like (hidden) depression or anxiety playing a role .. did you talk to your doc about this?

You could still try out some other meds .. like Dexedrine (for lots of ppl that seems to be "smoother" than adderall), or good old Ritalin ..

I had the same problem with adderall ( it actually lead me into a full blown depression). I tried all the stimulants and they did around the same thing.Strattera didn't do much for me also. I'm going to ask my psych doc about dexedrine tomorrow because I heard a lot of good things about it for people who don't have much luck with all the other meds..

When I was 7 years of age I took retlian, I off of it in less then one year. When I was taking the medication it made me fell real depressed. I would talk to your doctor and ask him what your options are. Your feelings of depression and anger mu be something else, or it maybe the meds. However, the problem may get worse if it is the meds. In my case, they took me off the meds when I threatened suicide. Thats how depressed it got me.

DIDDO thats exactly Y im on the bords today. I need to Swich from adderall to another stimulant that dosent have the side effects. I suddenly cant Handel the adderall any more. I need to know what others have swiched to and how it was better than adderall before I go back to my Doc tomorrow. If you find a solition or good advise let me know!
