My son is getting sick he has been laying around since he got out of preschool and has a fever. My question is do you guys still give your child their meds while they are sick?
I know I shouldn't skip any doses but what should I do if he vomits it up?
He is on Ritalin and Risperdal. The risperdal makes him drowsy too and now it is twice as bad.

With me it's sick or not, he gets his meds. Once he did throw it back up (along with breakfast too), and I let it be. You never know if the whole pill came up, or if was just fragments, and how much was absorbed before he threw up.

I say do what you feel most comfortable with. If he misses a couple days because he's sick it shouldn't hurt anything. If you're really worried, check with his doc. :)
