I'll admit it BUT all those articles titled with " [number] X ways to _______ [insert: beat bad breath, get a hot date, shave your nether regions, regret last night]" and "[number] X signs ________ [insert: she's a psychopath, he's cheating on you, it's V.D., you're gonna die in the next twenty minutes]" BUG ME NO END :mad::mad::mad:

Are we now as stupid as all those writers think we are? Have you noticed the initial numbers are NEVER higher than 10? Know why? Yep, you've got it, we only have eight fingers and two thumbs that are usually readily available. You're right. None of us can count higher than what comes after nine. Oh? Is that eight? Oh? Ten? Geez Louise. This here math stuff is mighty hard :rolleyes:

I guess this post indicates I have at least 1 of the 5 signs I've reached the crotchety stage of life...

actually I think the writers are trying to keep in consideration people who have a object orientated memory, thus using fingers seemed like the way to go since it included the majority of the populations, 20 things to consider posts make use of peoples toes but because of the obvious inconvenience one must go through to look have to look at ones toes and remember the "10 ways to" style was accepted more as a standard format.

Hee hee hee - I like "7 Signs of delusions of Grandeur" - note not 3 not 5 but 7!! Count 'em - 7!!! Also, "10 Ways to Drive Your Teenager Crazy on Discussion Forums" - they're such easy bait :) And I'm pretty sure this thread qualifies under "5 Signs You Have Too Much Time on Your Hands"....
