So, what are your medication habits?
I'm prescribed 5mg dexamphetamine twice a day (this is my first prescription in 4 years, will be increasing I think). 5mg is a bit low. 10mg and I become anti-social, but 5mg doesn't increase focus that much. Will have to see.
10mg makes me feel withdrawn, irritable and generally anti-social, but I concentrate well.
I've tried 30mg twice now to determine the difference. The first time I felt a bit euphoric and very sociable. This time (like 2 week gap with barely any in between), I didn't feel anything really. Actually, I felt normal. Very normal. No euphoria, no intense focus (more than off meds, but it seemed about as much as any average person, compared to extra focus on 10mg), no anti-social behaviour. In fact, I felt sociable and confident, but not overly so. Wasn't speedy, wasn't high, wasn't 'slow', wasn't excessively 'relaxed'. Normal. Dry mouth, jaw clenching and massive loss of appetite though - so I'm guessing the severity of PNS effects is independent of ADHD.
I guess the next step is 15 or 20mg. The reason I tried 30mg twice first was 1) reproducibility, 2) to determine if effects were uniform e.g. anti-social on 10mg means very anti-social on 30mg, or if effects change depending on dose.
So, I'm interested in what other people take, and how other doses affect them.
