I've been on 40mg per day of Strattera for about a week and a half for inattentive type ADD. I took it in the morning and it would knock me flat for several hours with drowsiness and a generally stoned feeling that was interfering with my work. I switched to taking it at night, and things have been much better. No side effects except a little dry mouth, and I seem to have a slight increase in the ability to focus.

I'm wondering if it would be a good time to up my dosage or whether I should wait a while longer. I really like the feeling I'm getting from the Strattera, but I feel like I want it to be stronger--I need a more intense version of what I'm getting from it right now in order to really improve my work habits in any substantial way. I'm a big guy, 6'1" and 240 lbs, and I'm thinking 40 might not be doing the trick, so I'm considering moving up to 60 or 80. Any thoughts on this, or is it too early?

Your doc should be bumping up the dose soon. Many times they like to increase the dosage slowly. I have read if raised too fast the effectiveness decreases

I should have mentioned, I'm due to go back to the doc in a couple of weeks and might call him to suggest bumping up the dose before then. He's kind of clueless about Strattera (he basically said to try it out and see what it did) so I figured I'd see what people here thought.
