Let's get a list, no an arsenal of quick one-liners going so we can spring them on non-ADDers who mistreat or misunderstand us!

When criticized for a delayed project:

How's never ... is that soon enough for ya'? :p

That's as straight-up a one-liner as they come! Gotta have the visuals ...

P.S. Do you flip or crank the finger up?

"I can do it your way, or I can do it my way, well."

"I may be 15 minutes late, but I've covered 2 hours of this meeting right here in this notebook. You're welcome." Okay, I haven't actually had the cajones to say 'You're welcome' in that situation.

My most important response is to "Give me your number.", and that's by writing down my email address.

Heh heh.... Ah, if only it was 15 minutes for me....:o

How about this one, Addaway? I've not had the cajones to say this, either, but I've certainly thunk it...

"Do you want it now, or do you want to win?"

'Course, it's still no excuse... :(

100,000 sperm and you were the fastest?

do you work for a spermatozoan?

tend to find that the people who enjoy setting deadlines are particularly thick - establishment loving vogons -
- incapable of humour, demonstrate no signs of intelligence
- simply in it for themselves -

(call it the 'cans of beans on shelf' mentality)

- simply in it for themselves -
their own money and their own comfort particularly

- best advice to you -
use the ADDaway and Mincan approach and keep it simple.

In addition - you'll find that these sorts of people love talking about themselves, their exploits -
- concentrate on shaping their 'selves' as better 'selves' than yourself -

they always want to know 'what' you are
- want to establish physical hierarchy
- care more about going to the 'right school' - rather than you mental capacity -

- actually don't have a clue and so paper over the cracks with pieces of paper from expensive universities which represent nothing but attendance certificates (and hence having the money to attend)

and all of this (combined with their lack of intelligence and humour (generally cynical))
- might lead them to come away from your last comment as being a sign of your admiration for their more relaxed speed of motion -
- not to mention some amount of pleasure in their capacity to include this (speed of motion and also notional spermatozoan status) information on their CV.

Care also -
these guys simply state -
'no - you've got me wrong - it was just a joke'
when challenged

no backbone
self-serving creeps - the product of our ignorant past - as defined by the transition to 'knowing' some ~50k years ago.

Another characteristic of note -
presumptuousness -
- don't trust the boss creep who you don't know and who tries to win you over with pretty words -
listen to their behaviour and give them respect if warranted -
generally - I work with the idea that there is no morality when money is at stake -
- and so that way -
one can be impressed when one observes proper behaviour -
helping instead of hindering staff

- sadly -
I know of no good supervisors -
(only had 10 or so jobs in Techs and Universities)

- though the shortage of quality in hierarchy is (being benevolent) - probably due to our societal trend to make more money (whilst simultaneously shirking responsibility)
- in some parochial attempt to ignore the fact that we're simply a buncha' apes on a small blue-green planet in the middle of nowhere.

So - yeah extend the finger to all creeps who'd think that they're better than you -
because they're not
- prion-infected gorillas who're being unfair through ignorance -
sheltering from the truth
so they can cosy up to their supervisors

nuzzle their necks whilst getting a groin rub

So - yeah extend the finger
- and hopefully - at some point there'll be a much needed change -

at some point soon.

"I can do it your way, or I can do it my way, well."

nice -
but still too gentle -

can you ram something through his ears?

maybe something which'll come out the other side -
and'll give people a comedy moment as they note how similar he looks to early depictions of sci-fi robots (wilst tottering) -

that is
- as -
- he drops down unconscious from the pain :-)

- ringing of delicious rapturous glee ???muffled??? in his ears from the others-

as he loses consciousness.

yay

--- a happy ending --- (for the others)

True morality arises as a consequence of a fully developed mind :)

morality is a property -
there's nothing in the rulebook that one has to be a flouncin' white skirt to deliver opinions on morality

- morality just comes with opening one's mind -
- is painful -

- we're in a world where morality is being taught by those who suffer -

any who prefer those who preach love -
need a basic lesson in duality

no love without hate -
the pattern

'hippy heart of darkness' -

wield the two in perfectly equal measure; the darkness is reassuring in a world of
'vacuous light without feeling'
'holographic soul which dissipates under merest challenge'

'do gooders' and 'do the right thingers' -
'politically correct' -
where political is synonymous with incorrect

- characterized with small repertoire of words which
create the impression of significance
for the first sentence or so

thereafter -
same old same old -

change for the better
- is all
that matters.

:(

(and hence having the money to attend)

Ah, SB, don't be so discouraging... There are such things as scholarships, you know. And even we ADDers can get them. My only expenses from college and law school were living expenses (for which I worked half-time during the school year and full-time in the summers, and then took out loans, as needed). I'd hate for the college-applying folks who might run across this thread to be discouraged by that statement. :( More than half of the students at my alma mater receive financial aid. It does need-blind admission.

Oops, sorry Addaway, didn't mean to thread-jack... Back to our regularly scheduled programming. :)

Sandy.

good comment -
though until its
all managers take responsibility and help newcomers get better (person dependent)

- will current systems be a cruel mockery.

Our world of making money -
involves company needing to win -
though not for the collective good - instead for selfish motivation -
where the self is the corporate entity

this perverted motivation infects staff workers with a competitive desire -
- not (accordingly) - for any useful outcome
- instead for thir own selfish needs

- a culture of selfish entity - at each level of the physical hierarchy -
- each entity viciously protecting self interest
unable to see the nature of ecosystem

it all collapses at some point -

from ADDF::Stabile (in the sense of immorality in the workplace and not at home - I think)
- corruption arises soon after and some guy called
'Kenneth Lay'
was mentioned to illustrate
- no idea who he is -
no intention of putting his name into google -

- any model based on selfishness (illogical inefficient foundations) willl come unstuck -
- balance is the essential goal in all systems of operation -

or

ADDF::nova (used to explain the reactivity of oxygen at position 8 in the periodic table)
'the whole thing topples over'

When a project is runnng late......
and the manager gives out grief....
response is.....
Most managers delegate responsibility but great ones take it.

I was impressed that I remembered that quote sb :)
I thought I'd throw it in, even possibly in the wrong context

:D I threw it in the interview too..LOL..it made no sense whatsoever, but I was determined to get it out...:p

Rumor has it that I've said these, either in person or online, so sue me

1) You wouldn't know a neurotransmitter if it bit you in the ***.

2) The only "lazy" people are the one's that won't read the research .

Intro to # 3 : After 106 years of ADHD research ( the first research study was in 1902), we're rapidly approaching 8k research studies, professional papers, books, chapters in books, etc.; all of which support ADHD as a valid neurobiological disorder )

3) So.....using a sports analogy.... After 106 years, the score is nearly : 8k to 0.

(Who would be dumb enough to get their asses kicked that bad? Oh, Obviously you ).

4) Often times, the easiest ,"black & white," knee jerk reaction answer is rarely the right one.

5) (for some of my esteemed colleagues ) I don't see an asterik by your name on the Minnesota Board of Psychology Rules of Conduct and the APA Ethical Principles giving you a free pass to blow off the research on ADHD in favor of your arrogant bs.

6) (continuing to feel the love) : It's only bogus if it isn't true (and it's true you suck) .But hey, there's some good news though, I just saved a ****load of $$ on my car insurance

7) I really did make 9 F's in HS and college, so stfu
(sad but true)

AND my personal favorite, which I ripped off form BUTTHEAD, when he said to BEAVIS:

8) DON'T MAKE ME GET MEDIEVIL ON YOUR ***.

Keep hanging tough and NEVER give a mean person what they want.

So... instead of getting mad, try reverse psychology like.... Can I offer someone a beverage?

If ignorance is bliss how come you are so unhappy . . ..

My ADD is not an excuse for your bad behavior.

Gee I would so much prefer a silent example than a bunch of meaningless words uttered by the obviously clueless .

Do you really want to go there

Lets switch - you live with my ADHD brain and I'll **tch about it.

Now for my moderator one liner

Play nicely folks - we are adults {or sort of close}

Treat others as you want to be treated. . .

No flaming

Ask for clarification before jumping to conclusions

Last but not least :

Using ignore option is one of the best ways to eliminate annoying members from your ADDF experience. -exception being a member of staff - oh well }
