Well as a mom of 3 i dont get much sleep period. i fall asleep as soon as i hit the pillow, my sex life has became nonexistant because i am sooo tired. i will fall asleep sitting on couch playing video games or watching tv. now i know why i am tired...lack of sleep... if i were to go to bed by 8 every night i would probably wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed. my question though is about the sleep patterns of my fiance'. he goes to bed between 2-4 in the morning...he works a 2nd shift job. but it takes him hours after that to fall asleep and then it sometimes takes me 2-3 hours of constantly bugging him to get him up in the morning....most days he is in bed until 11-12 noon. and i understand the fact that he works nights but why the hard time going to sleep and getting up. wish i could take my time getting up. i mean i have left the baby (20 mos) with my brother and when my brother had to go to sleep my bf didnt wake up and the baby was alone in the living room....in a safe place...but still....for like 2 hours. i am desprite to help him. would a sleep clinic be something to look into? HELP!!!

hugggggggs Kat;
My ex worked the 2nd shift too. For yrs he would gget home at about 2 am,...and sit up playing games or watchng tv for a couple hours before he went to bed. It annoyed me because i was alone all day with young kids. He said that at the end of the shift he was always too wound up to go to sleep and had to unwind first. Perhaps thats the case with your man. I do know that ive been told by doctors if im in bed and not sleeping for more then 20 mins to get uop cause it does no good to lay in bed. Hope this helps a little in understanding why he does not sleep.

What is sleep..??? I have forgotten what a good nights rest is. My sleep is always broken. I get up in the morning so tired that I fall back in bed and take a nap each day...which I should try and quit doing...but if I don't my head, my back and everything else hurts for standing, walking, sitting so I suffer no matter what I do.

Oh.. I forgot... I flunked my sleep test. One good half hour to an hour of REM sleep... that was all they could get. I was awake the rest of the night.

They told me that I would have to re-do the test with a sleep aid.

Funny - I passed my sleep test - I was out for 90 minuits. (I was in the lab for 6 hours!! " o all is normal" they reported.

I have just come off another bout of "insomnia" 10 days with less than 1 hour per night and 2 of those wer bona fide no sleep at all events - It only hurts in the mornings. By noon I start to perk up again and by midnight im in high geer.

Every 6-8 months I have this sillieness?? (I am not bipolar)

I can sleep from 3-4:00 am - 11-12:00 anytime without a problem - been this way forever.

It great when I have nighttime work... Self employed with employees- I have to be up for them all the time!!!

I want to change the world but no one wants to listen....
