I AM QUITE A TALKATIVE PERSON.... MY FRIEND INVITED ME OVER TO TRY GUITAR HERO. I DIDN'T SPEAK FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF. MY ROOMMATE SAYS WE NEED THIS (JOKINGLY) FOR PEACE AND QUITE IN OUR HOUSE.
IF/WHEN I FIND A GAME SYSTEM FOR A GOOD DEAL....I AM BUYING THAT AND THE GAME! I LOVE IT.

-WHAT "FUN" THING DO YOU ENJOY THAT CAN MAKE THE WHOLE WORLD GO AWAY????

Amazingly enough.... singing .. I've been singing since age 2.

Brushing my horse. Fortunately, she likes it.

That's a good thing...and it's so relaxing,...for both!

Nothing makes the world go away per se... I suppose video games used to do that for me when I was in high school, now I can't play games very much, they are very boring to me... I'm getting to the stage where everything I think I possibly need and want are in my environment somewhere... females, activities that are productive and satisfying, adventures, journeys, sojourns, explorations, exercise, sunshine, air, people, Niagara Falls, etc...

I love Niagara Falls, Mincan. I've been there quite a few times. From both the US side and the Canadian side. They're beautiful and awe-inspiring!

For me it's mostly random.. although when I am concentrating, sometimes it brings that out in me. I love when it happens, I just wish I could make it happen when I wanted it to. That's tough, knowing that I've got the ability to focus (or spaceout) and I can't even use it when I feel I need or want it.

DRIVING too fast! :o

I can't help it sometimes and when I'm 'in the zone' I could have listened to my favourite CD but not remember hearing any of the tracks.

Had to laugh at hubby today. He looked down and he was doing 5 over the speed limit. Didn't even know he was doing it.

Yep, driving does it for me too (I'd say driving fast, but that's a given unless there's a cop nearby :).) Driving is one of the few things that can occupy all of the tracks of my attention at the same time.

I do the same zoning out thing with the radio too. Bugs the crap out of me when I'm listening to sports talk and realize I missed the interview I wanted to hear.

I am the same way! I can be singing the song and then almost at the end, realize that I wasn't paying a bit of attention. I then restart the song to "enjoy" it yet again!:D

I do drive sensibly most of the time- but then there are those 'moments'- it's pretty damn relaxing!!!

I often can't listen to one thing on the radio or one track on a CD- the constant fiddling about with buttons really annoys other people! "CAN'T YOU LISTEN TO ONE THING!!!"

HA- you ever have to do this 2 or 4 times?? :D

2 or 4 times- absolutely!!! It tends to irritate the other people in the car...I just want to LISTEN to a good song. I can't help that they were paying attention and have heard it 3 times-not my fault!:p heehee-j/k

That's a great observation. Why don't you start a thread on it ... so we can play it again ... and get more input from other ADDers?! :)

How many times do you have to replay something (CD, Internet, iPod, TV, etc.) before you don't get distracted?

Have you ever desperately searched for the rewind button on your radio?

Oh yes....you MUST try it! The second one is better than the first. I haven't played the third on yet!!! There is also the game "Rockstar". I heard that is lots of fun too.

I truly am not a "gammer", but I do LOVE this one!

Anyone know where I can buy a cheap XBox or Playstation 3???

It varies on surroundings for me.. it could be anywhere from only once to who knows? If I'm in an area that has any sort of distraction it could be 9 or 10 rewinds, before I forget to rewind it and what I wanted to hear so desperately anyways.
