Just a little update and a question. We are still waiting to get into the doctor to have my son tested for bipolar. He is on Ritalin and Risperdal.
Long story short, his father doesn't want him on the meds even though he is doing so much better, I am talking about a 360 turn around. We came to an agreement not to give his ritalin in the evening. He takes his risperdal and ritalin in the morning, ritalin at 12:30, then Risperdal at 5:30 normally he would take the ritalin at the same time and a half of dose at 8:00.
My question is since stopping the Ritalin I expected him to be crazy bouncing off the walls again but he hasn't changed at all. This makes me wonder even more if there is more mood disorder going on than ADHD. I know it says the symptoms mimic each other. Before when he was just treated for ADHD he was still going crazy and having episodes but it seems that the Risperdal has fixed everything.
