I was wondering what the cost of certain meds are, such as strattera, adderall, ritalin etc... Just the "average" prices for a month supply. I was thinking about this because I don't have insurance and so I would prefer to try something cheaper before the more expensive first! Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

You may want to check into the two threads in this section that discuss CHADD's discount prescription card http://www.addforums.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1452 and the free medication program http://www.addforums.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=4173

My personal experience with Strattera is it costs approximately $100 for a month's supply without an insurance plan or card.

I might try to get help with the costs but I don't feel motivated enough to go through the processes! I am sure I will end up paying full price.

Britawn, if you live in North Idaho, that is pretty close to the Canadian border, is it not? Medication is way way cheaper in Canada - 1/2 or 1/3 the price for some name brand drugs!
Make a trip every 3 months and buy your drugs in the great white north. I don't know how the pharmacist's deal with a US Dr's scrip, but I'm sure they do it all the time! Customs allows a 3 month supply of drugs to be brought back to the US by an individual - as long as it's legal and you have a prescription (more than this amt is importation).
Look into it, it's worth it!
Good luck,
Greg

Wow, I never even thought of that (figures). I am less than two hours away! I will have to look into that. Thanks!
