My doctor prescribed me 108 mg of Concerta and I ran out of it yesterday. I can't see him until tomorrow but I am suffering here. I have a constant headache, I feel sick to my stomach, I'm jittery and irritable, and I cannot seem to get comfortable in my skin, if that makes sense. I'm assuming this is withdrawal from stopping such a high dosage so suddenly. I don't need a lecture on what I did wrong because I know I should have made an appointment for a refill BEFORE I ran out. Regardless, I need to know if you know of any ways to alleviate the discomfort I'm in. I'm at work and I am barely functional. Please help! Thanks!

this happens to me all the time, I'm always calling for my doctor right when I'm running out instead of a week before!
I don't think I've ever felt the way you're describing when I have to take a day or two off, but you should probably call your doctor and ask about it if you start to feel really bad.
Personally, I drink a lot of coffee on those days and try to take it easy

It's a fairly common problem as reported on these forums. It seems your case might be a little worse than usual because of the high dose.
Normally your doc would slowly decrease the dose if you were going to stop taking your meds. I understand that's not possible for you though.
Just remember:
-no long term damage
-how you're feeling now is NOT how you'll feel forever, or even tomorrow
-Coffee helps some but after the caffeine wears off you become even more tired than you were before. It makes things worse for me personally overall.
- Try and not think too much about it - that makes things worse.
- drink plenty of water. eat lots of food. try and keep busy. get some exercise.
- if it's really uncomfortable then just pretend you have the flu
- find a way to remind yourself to see the doctor before you run out next time :)
That was a fairly random list of tips :D hopefully it helps.
