Hi, is anyone on Strateera ? I just joined this forum and started taking Strateera two days ago. I am already thinking of giving up because i am feeling the side affects. I just don't feel right !! Does this go away and should I continue ? I am 29 and started on 10 MG and i have tried this years before but I am thinking this time it will be different. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Or if i can speak with someone who is currently on it would help as well. Thanks for your help

If I may, I’ve been taking 60 mg (70 when I really need it) for a good 4 years now. I gotta admit, I welcomed the “weird” feeling (body buzz, head swim) it gave me when I first started taking it. But, it goes away after awhile, but don’t worry, they’ll keep bumping up your doses until you say when. The worst eventual side effect for me was an intense rage. Small things, that might otherwise maybe annoy me, would make me super mad. I don’t know, it was stupid. After awhile, I went back in and they quelled it with some other pills (all having other side effects). Anyway, I don’t mean to scare you, but I would recommend giving it a chance to level off, and then determining if the benefits outweigh the costs. Hope that helps.

I am also on Strattera. 80mg a day, without many side effects. The only side effects I have is an occasional tired feeling. I know what you mean about feeling weird for the first couple of days. It goes away. It's almost been two week since I've been on the full 80mg and I can say I have noticed a change. The biggest change is the fact that I actually feel like doing stuff. The side effects began to wear off within the first week and it's been pretty smooth since then. Hope this helps.

I've been on it for 4 years, currently at 120mg. I've felt these same "rages" in the past few months. Currently, the Strat is NOT working at all for me. I have an appt. with the Doc today to see what we can do about it.

I have had almost zero side-effects during all this time. At the beginning I got a little wonky, but since then I get a little headache occasionally.

It's different for everyone, but Strattera has been good to me. Give it a little time.

Hi there yep i'm on 40mg a day and have been taking them for 2 weeks now, iv'e ignored the side effects to give them a good chance to kick in.
working o.k at momment but i am going to ask for an increase when i see my psych in may.
any questions you wanna ask me fire away :)
