am I the only one in thinking that that thing at the bottom to delete PM's is a bit overdone?

I am especially puzzled by what "appropriate option" might mean, apart from that you want to delete it .. it sort of hints that there is a lot more to come after you have clicked it, along the lines of: "Are you sure?"; "Are you absolutely sure?"; "Last chance to NOT delete this PM!"; "Have you thought about how the sender of this PM might feel about you deleting it just like that?" - etcetera. Well, like Windows.

And then we did not even consider any "Inappropriate options".

Hmmmmmm.... a few inappropriate options? Let's see.... Put this PM where the sun don't shine? Re-write this PM on the bathroom wall in the sender's college dormitory (even if he/she has long since graduated)? Send this PM to all of the sender's previous lovers? Give this PM to the sender's great-grandmother on her 99th Birthday and ask her to read it aloud?

Others? Heck, this could be the most fun thread in the forum!

I personally don't believe the PM thing is overdone at all...there are ADDers on this forum who may want to have private correspondence with one another via ADDF and I think that should be respected although I reckon there should be a button/option when one can delete a PM if sent to the wrong person...LOL but no I'd keep the PM system in place.

I did not mean the PM system in general: I use that a lot and I like it! I meant the way the delete thing is organised. That you have this box there that says: "Wanna delete this pm? That's OK .. just select 'delete this PM' and then click the 'delete' button."

See what I mean? It is like, when you start a car, you would have to press a switch first and then turn the key .. instead of just turning the key. Or, like when you would have to sing "Ye Green Hills Of Ireland Mine" before ringing someone's doorbell (not necessarily an Irish person's) before that person would come to open it.
