Hey lads,


Recently why surfing here, i noticed some "Scientology" ads. I think this highly inappropriate that a radical movement like Scientology, which has made clear statements against use of medications such as ritalin and adderall, even to the point of spreading plain propaganda, is advertising on a site such as addforums.


I'd really appreciate it if you guys took some action.

EDIT2: You can filter it using the competitive ad filter...

We're trying to block ads from them now. If any others appear, please post the URL (link) listed below the ad. We'll take care of it right away.

Here's an interesting fyi,

Several years ago when I had the pleasure to train with Russ Barkley, one of the best stories he told was about the time he had actually sold out the Minnepaolis Convention Center.

The Scientologists demonstrated out front by renting an elephant with the banner of Say No To Ritalin.

Russ went out there an bought a Say No To Ritalin t-shirt and no one knew who he was.

What scares me about some of these ads and the people who are running some of these sites is that they really aren't even scientologists and don't care one way or the other about the use of medication. They've just done research and know that many parents are scared to use medication and are trying to make money off of people's fears.

The ads *spam* most of us are referring to ...are the ones where a newbie posts about nokia phones...and also scientology. There have been several others as well, advertising ringtones...

Just like we get in email. So if anyone sees something similar. Send that link you're finding it on..to admin.
