My doc wants to try me on strattera and Ritalin. I am on Ritalin but she thinks the combo may be good for me since they work on different neurotransmitters.

Yup, I am on both. Doc put me on the Ritilan when I complained about the Straterra making me sleepy. The combo is working really well as long as the Ritalin lasts. Hopefully he will change that to something that lasts longer as I only get about 2.5 hours out of the 10mg.

interesting. my question to you would be have you tried ritalin by itself and was that not helpful? i am on 80mg of strattera per day right now (going up to 100) and it's just not really doing much of anything. i've been on the strattera for about 5 weeks. i am also on zoloft for OCD/anxiety (though depression is now an issue in my life so i guess it's also for that).

Nope, have not tried just Ritalin. We will be discontinuing one or two drugs, though I'm not sure which ones yet.

thanks. besides the lethargy, did the strattera by itself seem to help?

It helped for a while, then it seemed to quit working for me.

I'm on Strattera and Concerta. I'm on 36mg of Concerta 2x daily (which is not working so well) and working my way up to 60mg of Strattera. My doc says I need a lower dose of Strattera since I have both. I'm not sure that I'm willing to pay for them both though if I only need a stronger dose of one or the other. Right now I'm on samaples of Strattera.
