My doc wants to try me on strattera and Ritalin. I am on Ritalin but she thinks the combo may be good for me since they work on different neurotransmitters.

However, I have never heard of ratline and strattera. xstarchildx 05-08-08, 05:48 PM Yes i'm on both and it's working great for me at the momment. skilganon 06-23-08, 12:48 AM i am on 80s right now what does ritaline do that is different. newfdog 06-23-08, 11:43 AM Yup, I am on both. Doc put me on the Ritilan when I complained about the Straterra making me sleepy. The combo is working really well as long as the Ritalin lasts. Hopefully he will change that to something that lasts longer as I only get about 2.5 hours out of the 10mg. smittythepig 06-23-08, 12:10 PM Yup, I am on both. Nope, have not tried just Ritalin. We will be discontinuing one or two drugs, though I'm not sure which ones yet. smittythepig 06-23-08, 12:19 PM thanks. besides the lethargy, did the strattera by itself seem to help? newfdog 06-23-08, 12:24 PM It helped for a while, then it seemed to quit working for me. Chrisles 06-23-08, 01:03 PM I'm on Strattera and Concerta. I'm on 36mg of Concerta 2x daily (which is not working so well) and working my way up to 60mg of Strattera. My doc says I need a lower dose of Strattera since I have both. I'm not sure that I'm willing to pay for them both though if I only need a stronger dose of one or the other. Right now I'm on samaples of Strattera. ndnbutterfly 08-22-08, 12:16 PM I'm on Strattera and so far it isn't doing anything for me (week 3) except making me tired. But I've heard of people taking Ritalin and Strattera together with good results. I think the Strattera is supposed to have an antidepressant effect (although heard that a lot of people get depressed that weren't before) and then the Ritalin for the the drowsiness. Not for sure though haven't taken them together myself. Best of luck! |
