Hi,
I am new to this, so hopefully it works well. My seven year old daugter was diagnosed two years ago with ADHD, actually Impulsivity, a form of ADHD. Between the ages of 1 and 2 she started having sleeping problems. She would not sleep at night at all, after being up for most of the day. She started sleep everynight when she was about 5 and a half. When she was about 4 she almost got put out of daycare, due to having tantrums, throwing and kicking items. She is very defiant, she says whatever is on her mind, very disrespectful, and her tantrums are off the chain. I feel a lot of her issues are from her being bored at school, she is in the gifted program, very, very intelligent, bur her behavior is just out of control, especially if she is redirected to discontinue doine soemthing she can not do at that time, ie playing talking etc.
I took her to a Psychologist for a while, and she diagnosed her with Imupulsiveness, since I went to a Psychologist, her pediatricain prescribed focalin, she took the lowest dose for about 2 months, she then began having crying spells, hypersensitive is what is was called, I took her off. I took her to a Psychiatrist the beginning of the year, and she prescribed 27mg of Concerta, I was not feeling that. I then went online saw the positive testimonials of BrightSpark and Focus, and order my first bottles. During the first month everything went fine, I was so happy and at peace. NO more phone calls, conferneces, my child was doing very well. She ran out and I ordered more, she was out for about a week and a half. Every since I started her back on the herbs, it has not worked, and I don't know what else to do. Her behaviour is threating her getting suspended, and is wearing its toll on me. I am a single mother of 3 (10, 7,2) I am really clueless as to what to do at this moment. I really do not want to medicate her, I don't agree with her taking drugs. I have thought maybe she is too big for the children doses. She is about 80 pounds.
