I started taking Strattera for ADD three days ago. I am also diagnosed with Schizoaffective disorder and have been taking Zyprexa (Olanzapine) 15mg. Normally psychiatric drugs either make me very sleepily or very energetic...

Luckily starting from the day 1, I am sleeping a few hours less with Strattera (The other drug Zyprexa makes me sleep more) and now and fully energetic in the day..... I started with 40Mg then will increase to 80Mg then 120Mg gradually....

As it is known that the effects will be in 3-4 weeks it will take some time to see if it works or not... But until now I am too optimistic....

Soon I will keep all of you posted if it works for me or not....

ps. the Strattera I am using is the generic brand Attentin.

if you can try taking the strattera very slowly it will lessen the side effects dont take it in large doses

i wasn't aware strattera had a generic yet.
