Is anyone else basically hooked on energy drinks. I drink sugar free Monster & Rockstar. I don't like the tast of red bull. Most of these drinks have high levels of L Carnitine, Guarana, Vitamin B6 & 12 which is all beneficial. I have a high tolerance to caffeine. I can drink many cans of diet coke at night and still sleep well.

In the morning, I take the Vyvanase with a can of Monster Energy . The problem is that I feel like I am crashing into a depression late in the day.

yup - i would drink at least 1 red bull a day....it helps to kick start the day! I also would drink at least i can of coke a day too! (my dentist loves me ;) )

I am currently taking 3x5mg dex per day and have not noticed any crash!

out of interest - I only recently noticed that red bull has inositol as an ingredient. A little research has showed that inositol is classed as a type of nootropic which affect mood and stress

taken from wiki...
"Inositol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inositol) - Is a B-vitamin like substance with anti-anxiety effects. It is believed to produce its anti-anxiety effects by improving the binding of gabaergics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamma-aminobutyric_acid) to GABAA receptors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GABA_receptor). Inositol is a sugar, and is therefore an alternative energy source for brain and muscle tissues. It produces a sugar high without a sugar low, making it especially suited for sweetening tea (instead of sugar). It is also a membrane stabilizer which can strengthen (and therefore help protect) neurons."

I wonder if this has anything to do with my daily consumption over the last 8 years!?!

Sugar Free Red Bull tastes disgusting. I like the low carb Monster Energy & Rockstar drinks. I think that I have such a high tolerance to caffeine since I can drink one two or more full cans a day and not even feel a buzz anymore. Last night I drank one can two hours before bed & I slept OK.

i go work for 9am, i'm tired all day!!! but as soon as it hits about 8pm, i am wide awake, i think im just meant to be a night person...

if i have a few redbulls of a morning im more alert and can actually concentrate on my job!!! its alot better than wishing i was still in my bed with my eyes half shut :D

Red bull works quite well because one of its main ingrefients is "Sodium Citrate"

Red bull sits on my stomach and when I drink it I feel like I've just chugged a gallon of gatorade for some odd reason.

I myself am a BIG fan of Full Throttle...but only the blue and orange cans :) I used to drink those and NOS on a daily basis (before I was diagnosed). I "quit" drinking them for a while, but now that I'm on adderall, whenever I feel like it's not really working, I'll drink a FT and I feel a little more grounded and focused. I also find it helps to get rid of headaches that I get in the afternoons. Bonus!

Wait, if you are taking adderall and u drink an energy drink..won't it just dissolve the amphetamine molecules(adderall) in ur body because of how acidic these energy drinks are? (They are loaded with citric acid after all aren't they?)

i to am a full throttle type of guy and they are all good to me except for the green one. i use to drink them all the time to get me going before i started takin adderall.

now sometimes i take one in the mournings to get going and let it leave my body before i take my adderall cause i heard it interfers with your meds.

Usually when I drink them it's LONG after I've taken the adderall. I usually take it at 6-630am, and the energy drinks are later in the afternoon, around 3 or 4 if not later.

Im not a huge fan of the energy drink with the meds because it tends to make me kind of go over the edge and I feel a little too anxious. Maybe if it was wearing off, but I drank one once and I felt too speedy almost.
