work in today's job market/economy? its been over 4 months since I have been out of work, and it seems like its just getting tougher to get interviews. The competition is OUTRAGEOUS as well(I live in California)! I apply for jobs, and one employer recently mentioned they recieved 100 responses! getting interviews seems to go in spurts, one week I will have 2-3, then a few weeks go by and I will get maybe one! I'm applying for everything as well. Not just my career field. I'm at a desperate point(due to no money) and it reallys sucks! Anyone else feeling the high gas prices, bad economy, etc??:rolleyes:

yeah, just my luck, I get fired(on purpose at the end of last year) and shortly after the economy starts getting F-up! now, its almost impossible to find a decent job! S%IT!!!!

Not many responses here. I thought this thread would generate some good responses. Oh well. It does seem like a lot of people have jobs on this forum. So that might explain some things. Not working is the worst. I get so freakin bored some days, just no motivation to even look for jobs.

Who me having trouble? Out of work since January 7. So I guess it makes it 5.5 months now.

what am I going to do? Maybe its going to be some manual labor, warehouse work for a change.

But I have figured out that I have been working in a career that is 100% wrong for me all these years. So I will see a new job counselor this week to work on this issue and what I should move toward.

Maybe I should change my username to BasketCase, cause that is what I am right now.

I have a SECURITY interview on Wednesday, its gotten to the point where I need a job, any job! at least its at a country club and I can play golf for free once a week! :) only reason I applied.
