I am 26 yrs old, was just diagnosed w/adhd almost 2 weeks ago. I was started on 10mg adderall xr, then he increased me to 30 mg adderall xr. I usually take it around 7 or 7:30 am. And it seems to linger off around noon. And I feel like crap (tuned out) for the rest of the day. A part of me just wants to take another pill.To get out of the zoned, quiet mood, I get in when it begins to ware off. I am afraid to though, I hear this med is highly addictive.
I have an 7 yr old daughter, she gets home from school @ 4pm, long after my meds have worn off, "when I need it the most!!"
I was told by Doc. that the 30 mg will last me longer through the day. Not!!
Starting these meds have worked out great ! I have noticed a huge change "In the 1st part of the day!". But, I still need to be productive and function after 12 o'clock in the afternoon.
What should I do? Or tell Doc. my next visit in 2 weeks. Am I the only one that has had an reaction like this to the adderall xr???. I know ive been told it should last much longer.:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:
