i bought a non-prescription sleeping aid which is made up of vitamins&herbs and its meant for people that dont sleep because of stress..
hope it works..
I've tried bondormin (benzodiazephine) but it made me tired during the day..

Some folks have luck with plain ol melatonin. 5-htp can also be a sleep aid, works for me on occasion, but I can't use it nightly or it looses effect. I find Benadryl on occasion works great too. Read up on anything you are considering for side effects, and check with your doctor.

my doc gives me 50 to 100mg Trimiprimine + Levomepromazine to sleep. works good (i know this dosnt answer your initial question but maybe it will help you too once you have figured out that i.e. valerian dosnt really help and is even (at least here) almost as expensive.... actually that does answer your question ;-)
