so here's the deal, i am 99% happy with Strattera, but that 1% is kind of a big one. i have had issues with the consistency of getting and/or maintaining an erection. because of mine and my fiancee's work schedules (mon-fri, me on nights, her on days) sex really only can happen on the weekends, so my solution has just been to not take it on our days off. this has been pretty effective. now, i am wanting to take the Strattera all week because i sleep so much better and get more stuff done when i take it, but not at the risk of having no sex life.
i am due to get my prescription refilled in a couple days, so i am trying to figure out what options i should discuss with my doctor. since i am getting married in a couple months, i am not really looking to start experimenting with a bunch of stuff and having to worry about possible side effects (sexual or otherwise) coming up during our honeymoon, not when i know i can "make this work". should i check into something like Cialis, Levitra or Viagra to counter the effects as needed? also, if i stick with my current solution, is the potency/effectiveness of the Strattera during the week being reduced by not taking it over the weekends?
as a little background, i am 28. my doctor stepped me up from 10mg to 80mg over the course of 5 or 6 weeks, before we settled on 60mg being what i was happiest on. i haven't had any side effects that bother me to any degree, other than the one i mentioned.
