hi i am sure i have add i am 42 my son does, he is 16 and on focalin.i think i always had it. i have a very hard time concentrating.racing thoughts i nood off when trying to really cocentrate.reading a book is tough.my job some days it is hard to stay focused.should i get tested??? thanks

Tell your doctor just as you've told us here. Tell your son's doctor next time you go with him; maybe he can give you a recommendation .... or start looking for a psychologist or shrink (psychiatrist) who deals with adhd ....

If your son is seeing a psychiatrist, there's a chance that he could be willing to treat you even though you're an adult.
