ok hi. i have some questions.
ive never really taken an SSRI or SNRI.. i have taken adderall xr for years but ive still struggled while on it. but the adderall is not really "doing it" for me anymore.. so i have some questions.. can anyone tell me, who has experienced numerous stimulant meds, which one they seem to like best? and if anyone has taken any newfound SSRI or SNRI with a stimulant, can you share you're coctail experiences as well? im just looking for some REAL advice..

Every brain is different.

e.g. what works for you, will not necessarily work for others.

Biochemistry of the Brain is way more complicated than that. :(

re: combining meds

I had to stop mixing SSRIs and stimulants. Too many side effects/interaction problems.

Another thing to consider is stop the stimulants and go specifically to SSRI/SNRI.

Straterra has worked wonders for me, although over the years lost some effectiveness.

I'm now taking 150mg Effexor and 120mg Strat and, in my case, it's doing the trick.

I've been on Ritalin and Wellbutrin at the same time... not fun at the time but I had panic disorder at the time... probably wellbutrin would be awesome with ritalin for me now... i did try a while ago and it was okay... I was on Ritalin and Remeron... that sucked... the Remeron cancelled out Ritalin... and I've been on Dexedrine and Zoloft and it seems to work okay, as long as the Zoloft is at a much lower than normal dose sort of like a supplementary dose and the Dexedrine does need to be increased as the Zoloft seems to take away too much of the stimulation.
