Lots of people report differences in effect between Corepharma mixed amphetamine salts and Barr amphetamine salts. The active ingredients, according to the FDA, both adhere to the same set of standards. So, if true, the inactive ingredients must be responsible for the reported differences. From unofficial sources:

<meta http-equiv="CONTENT-TYPE" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"><title></title><meta name="GENERATOR" content="OpenOffice.org 2.4 (Linux)"> <style type="text/css"> <!-- @page { size: 8.5in 11in; margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } --> </style> Barr 30 mg tablets

colloidal silicon dioxide, compressible sugar, corn starch, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and, saccharin sodium, FD&C yellow no. 6 aluminum lake

Corepharma 30 mg tablets

lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and pregelatinized starch, D&C Red #27 Aluminum Lake

Does anyone know enough chemistry to evaluate the hypothesis that the reported difference in effects is attributable to Barr's filler ingredients being more soluble in water than Corepharma's? The two ingredients that might be significant are compressible sugar and saccharin sodium, a sugar and a salt.
