Hi, i am 21 and i just was recently started taking medication for ADD again. The doctor prescribed me 30mg Adderall xr. I took it in the morning at about 7:30ish and it worked out great, for about a week. Then i noticed that it wasnt working after about 11am. So i recently had an appt with the doc again and explained to him my situation, and he is haveing me try out adderall IR 15mg twice a day. yesterday was the first day that i took the IR and it was horrible i felt lightheaded and disgusting it was nothing like the XR, the come down i got very dizzy and threw up 2 or 3 times. i couldnt stand it. I felt horrible the whole day I don't know if it had something to do with the fact that it was generic made by Barr, or if it is interacting with my other meds. i take 200 mg of lamictal once a day at night, and 10 mg of ambien at night every so often. when i was first diagnosed at 18 i was taking 30 mg of adderall xr ( what i thought then to be XL?) and had no problems with it. it work great. never a bad reaction or anything. Does this sound like an allergic reaction? I also forgot to mention that when i take it now and my skin becomes red and blotchy and if i rub my skin it gets extra red, and its also kind of itchy. Could i have become allergic b/w when i first took it and now? i have no idea what it going on. i didn't take the IR today and took some of the left over XR and the symptoms have been dramatically lessoned but am a little nauseous at times? has anyone had similar experiences. I really need some help!!!!!!!!

Make sure when you call, to mention the vomiting and the red splotches!

Without the skin rash, I would have said to try a lower dose of the IR. But with a skin reaction, I'd call the doc. Not worth the risk.
