I have taken concerta 54mg b4 in the past when i was in high school not knowing the side effects of this drug.... Now that i am older and my doctor has decided to go back to that does of concerta i have read some of the things are this pill and i don't like them.... I don't like them at alll..... It dangerous..... I want a drug that i can take on a as needed basis... This... Drug.... turns me into a zombie i am scared of what its going to do to me.... and i had to pay $157 for it..... dam it huh... i got it up the butt.... so tell me your opinion really i need it.

Concerta has the same active ingredient as Ritalin does. .

Have you tried to see if you could function on a lower dose of concerta?

Stimulants enter your system rapidly and exist rapidly - relatively speaking. Kind of like sleeping pills or pain medicine they can be taken on a as needed basis {with your doctors permission of coarse}

Unlike antidepressants and mood stabilizers stimulants like concerta and adderall do not have to build up in the blood stream to work - for most they begin working in under an hour.

I don't really think there is anything "wrong" with Concerta. There are possible side affects. Some that you experienced during high school.
Not every pill is meant to work on every peron so I would suggest talking with your doctor about other choices.
My son is on Concerta and it works very well for him.
Hopefully you can find a med that works well with your system.

Thank you.. its also becuase my son could get a hold of this pill and it could kill him i mean i put it up so he coudln't but one day one could drop out of my pocket or on the floor and boom hecould be dead... that is whati am really scared of..

That's why you should have a locking medicine cabinet.. or a drawer that locks.. like in the filing cabinet. Hang the key around your neck.. or on your keychain..and hook it to your belt if you have to. That is what we had to do.. to keep meds away from our kids... we had a locking suitcase we used. IT works wonders.. in keeping things away from kids.

Sorry.. none to spare.. or I would. I do mean that.. remembers how frustrating it is, to try and keep meds away from 4 little ones.

Yes.. 4 daughters... oldest is 21...22 in December.. she's on her own. Twins.. are 20, their birthday is next March. Youngest will be 17 in August.
