I have noticed a definite challenge in the world of work and all the offices I have worked in during the last few years. Maybe it is the global economy or maybe our politcal leadership or the recession, but things are getting really tough out there. Unless you are really good or have supporters in the company, you are really going to fight to keep your job and prosper.

I am a strong believer in role models and mentors to help us prosper in the world of work. I also believe in continuing education and professional development. Though it seems like most people's ego gets in the way and they will not take the advice of others and as a result suffer and go stagnant.
