I stopped after 2 days on Vyvanse due to thinking I was having a reaction and just ended up that I got Strep while beginning medicene. I started again today. First day, i'm feel the cottonmouth... which isn't that bad considering I don't normally hydrate myself well, and I am now! ;) Trying to look at the good.

How long before the body typically acclimates to new medicene, so I have an idea of how I'll feel on it after side effects lessen... 1 week ?

It should get better within a few weeks, in my experience. I can't say that it completely goes away because after 7 months on Vyvanse I can still tell a little while after taking it that I need something to drink, but definatly not as strong of a feeling like it was when I was beginning the medicine.

I've been on it for ten days, I cut back on caffiene the first couple of days, but I've really had little side effects. A little bit of weird stomach, not quite right, but that wasn't a problem the last couple of days.

for me, it takes 3 to 5 weeks before my brain and body adjust to the medicine and I can really judge how it will affect me.

My first few weeks on adderall, I felt sort of zoned out, like the brain was not turned on. Six weeks later, I do not feel that at all ... it's an individual thing, but I'd say roughly 3 weeks.

Ok. First day today I still feel jittery (leg etc) and a little more on "edge" but I'm think maybe a little more focused on work than I have been. Its different, normally I'm sleepy and yawning and drained (I'm very bored with my job)... and today I at least was working for a bit, enough to have highest call stats in our office.... Thats seems good. Maybe a little more energy when something is boring is a sign its working a bit?! too soon to tell for sure.

For me it wasn't that production (high call volume) increased, but more my focus on the task at hand, not getting distracted by every little noise and not going off into "lala" land.

Day #3 and I personally felt more energetic with work, rather than feeling bored and yawning constantly barely able to stay awake. I've had top stats in the office again. Been a while since thats been the case. I guess I'm caring a little more, and perhaps the vyvanse is helping me concentrate more?

Took me a LITTLE longer to get to sleep, and woke up a couple times, but nothing terrible, just unusual for me as a heavier sleeper.

It's weird, I was like that the first day or so. But now, I've been sleeping better than ever, the whole night through. I don't think I've done that in years, if ever. Day 14 for me. I see the shrink tomorrow.

I quit Vyvanse after two days and asked to be put back on XR . My doctor started me on 50 mg of Vyvanse , which is 3/4 less than the equiv . of XR I was taking . I have a lot going on in my life currently , and don't have time to waste to titrate up to where I need to be with Vyvanse . I'm also a little upset that my Shire RX card will no longer be good for XR anymore . Oh well....
