Hi, my son (8) has been on strattera 28 mg for about 4 weeks now.

Almost as soon as he started on Strattera, he started to wake up really early in the morning (about 4am).

I know early waking is one of the side effects, but does this wear off eventually? Would changing the time he takes his meds make any difference? He takes them about 7.30am?

any advice appreciated -

My 10 yr old would have trouble sleeping and would also wake up in the night,and sometimes stay awake for as long as 2 hours. We're only at 35mg and got to that level very slowly (he's 100 lbs). He takes it at 8 in the morning. Now that we've been stable at this level for about 6 weeks, he doesn't wake up at night any more. What worked for us is going up in dose very slowly. It seemed that the wakings always happened 2-3 days after increasing the dose. I tracked it day by day.
