Okay, I am ADD whether i'm online or offline, but it seems like a Dr. Jeckyl, Mr. Hyde type of ordeal, if that makes sense. I don't think I need to explain further, unless someome would wish so.
Also, is this common with other people?

I would like you to explain further before I know if I relate?
Sank you, j9

I have found my personality is different online for a few different reasons...
I feel more free to speak my mind here. I am highly unlikely to ever meet any of you in "real life", so the social consequences of a blunder are a lot less.
I will never, EVER be interrupted here.
I can go back and edit and perfect the things I say before saying them.
I can safely drop out of conversations without appearing rude.
I speak here at the ADD forums with a moderator's voice, which gives me confidence and social "status" that I might not enjoy in a conversation in real life.
I can speak here with complete privacy from friends, family, and co-workers. It is highly unlikely that anything I say here will ever get back to them!
Conversations online also do not allow for body language, tone, inflection... your only impression of me and mine of you is the words we type here.
Collectively, this gives me an entirely different style here than in "real life". It's not a Jekyll/Hyde thing with me, but if you knew me IRL, you would know a different person is all I am saying...

I have MORE of an attitude or show more of my attitude online then I do offline. The attitude is still there offline, and when I get irritated, it shows. but i don't go around to everyone and give them all curses. Heh.

Hi wayward,
I can relate to what you are saying. Thats why I prefer this forum & listgroups than to chat.

O.K now I think I get it!
I am actually very shy online.
But, I probably make less blunders as I can edit.
Mostly I get frustrated writing as it can't be written as fast as I can think it.
I was very nervous to join in.
I perfer face to face.
Now I am more comfortable.
WWC...I'm right with ya on that one :)
