So here is the deal. Today is "Grade Day" for my English Composition II class, right? So I have a one-on-one with my English II Professor. I sit down and she asks me what kind of grade I think I should have up to this point. I honestly said a B. She said ooooh no, you're more like a C student. You are so slow getting your work in. Most other students already have paper IV in to me. I was really considering of dropping you.

I just sat there and took this BS.

But luckily, she let me stay in the class.

So I suppose that is good enough for me.

We got to talking and asked me if there were any outside conflicts I had. I didn't mention ADD, but I told my Professor that I was working for 30-35 hrs. every 2 weeks a month, plus I was taking 12 hours of college (4 classes).

The Professor just shook her head and said no, no don't ever do that again.

I didn't tell her too that I'm involved in the Boy Scouts.

But none of this really interferes with my school work, I think.

I'm just "lazy". And the fact that I started out this semester on a bad note and took me quite a while getting my first and second paper accepted with the Professor.

I can write darn well I think for my own standards. And I always had other people comment on my writing, but I find it miserable that I have to write what a Professor wants me to write.

Heh.

Doesn't sound like you are lazy to me...

And here's the thing. I can spell words in my sleep. I am an avid writer and I know enough grammar and puncuation to get by. My problem has to deal with deadlines. So, yea.

And thank you WWC. I'm really not too lazy.

Added note, this is my second time taking English Comp 2. Last semester I took it and practically dealt with the same problems. Late in getting papers in, and the Professor red inked my papers like a mad man, telling me what I need to write and all that. So by the time the last paper was due, I was still editing paper 3. So I dropped the ******* class. First time I ever dropped a class in college. It affects me personally and my GPA.

Is there something I can do.
I'm still trying to qualify in a 504 type program. I just need to show my school documents that I was diagnosed with ADD and/or learning disorder.

Yes, time management is a huge issues for many people with AD/HD. There are ways to help with time though. Feel free to partipate in the peer coaching forum and get support from other forums members with specific deadlines.
