I want to try using Omega 3 supplements for treating (in addition to meds) my 7 yr old son's bipolar. Does anyone have recommendations on brands. I know about Omega Brite, but am wondering if there are other brands just as good.

I get the Kirkland brand from Costco. I guess they work. Kind of hard to tell. I have nothing to compare them to though.

OmegaBright is a VERY good, high quality brand. High in EPA to DHA (7:1 ratio) which studies have shown to affect cognition and mood positively. Both my son and I take the high EPA, and it is lovely! :-)

My daughter & husband both take Omega Brite which has the high concentration of Omega 3 compared to all the others that I have researched even better than the Costco Brand - Kirkland Fish Oil products. It does keep the mood swings to the least amount or the minimum.

We're using Blackmores Omega Daily.

Its not a cure all but I do think its working, we've been taking it for about 3 - 4 weeks now.
