I'm the type of person that actually enjoys working... keeps me busy.. and it alwasy gets to the end of the year and i am in a way forced to taek my vacation.

I don't really like...gulp.... 'relaxing'.... are other hyper adhd'ers like this....

I'm mainly inattentive but I have trouble relaxing too. Although I would rather not be working, I can't just sit around and do nothing for much more than a day on vacation...my vacations have to be the type where there is lots to do and lots to see. Or at least have a rough plan of things to do so I have something to look forward to rather than worrying about what I am going to do.

I'm like amethyst.... lying around n a hot place ding nothing is my idea of hell... doing something new, meeting new people, going new places.. thats a holiday.....

Whch might explain why I can't understand the split between "work" and "play" snce for me to survive they have to be roughly the same

Yeah I hear ya! While I don't mind lying on the beach, I'd probably do it for oh, five seconds, before I either have to swim, build a sand castle, read.. *lol*

I think this 'vacation' time could be used to explore other areas that you might not otherwise have time for. Closet organization, experimenting with baking, painting..etc. Hey, I could relax by organizing my pantry! :p

So explore a little. Brainstorm a bit. You'll come up with something. Or if you are true ADHDer, too many things so that you'll be saying you didn't have enough time to do what you want! :p

I know how you feel. I like to relax for about 5 minutes then I need to find something to keep me busy. When I was home with my kids for 18 months I was going crazy. My husband would come home and the house would be a mess, because we would be running off to the park (when I should have been cleaning up) or to the library for story time. I needed constant stimulation. (I also was not taking my meds at that time. so that did not help either.)

The beach is great when it's 85 degrees F, not 99 with a heat index of 115. Yuckky!!! Sticky!!! Nasty heatwave!!!!
