Anyone experience that? My 10 year old (on Straterra for about 4 months now and no other drugs) had a small clump of hair come out today, which was totally unusual. I wondered if it might be a side effect. I googled it but didn't find anything concrete other than some stimulants can cause it. If anyone has any info on this I'd be interested.Thanks!

I had horrible hair loss with Strattera. My goodness, every time I ran my fingers through my hair I would get 10-20 strands. I was shedding all over the place, it was awful. If it had worked like everyone said it would I would have tolerated being bald, but it made me suicidal, not to mention the side effects.

My hair stopped falling out three days after I stopped taking it.

Just as an update, I do think he has thinning hair. I've read that Methylphenidate and other psychotropic drugs as well can cause hair loss. We'll bring this up with the doc in two weeks. Its a bit concerning. That, combined with loss of appetite and battles about food and eating is wreaking havoc. I don't know what drug to try next! We had problems on a stimulant, school is about to start for him and we're into a whole new round of issues--we need some good meds!
