I tried weed for the first time a couple weeks ago. I can see why weed can help and wrose ADD/ADHD. Weed seems to only help the hyperactive, and clam the thinking. I am not moving around, or having my thoughts/ideas jump everywhere. However forgetting everything, and wrose the force span kinda outweight the benefits. Besides I get lazy and hungry.

However what sucks is that my boyfriend likes me more when I am high, heh everyone likes me more when I am high. For them it much easier to talk to me, since I am calm, and listening to what they're saying. I am not so nervous.

hmmm...

....I'm very creative stoned, I miss that.
I love to paint and draw and stuff.

as far as socially, I'm a dork.
...... very random, and far streched analogies.

it also gives me panick attacks now..
.....of corse I smoked it 29 years.
I started at 14....I'm 43....I quit last august, for the most part, with a few slips.

you know what all my efforts to stay stoned won me?

........NOTHING.
I HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT.

you know the saying hind sight is 20/20?
.....it means you can see where you went wrong in the past easier
than in the present.

I'm warning you....
.......this is the truth as I know it.

Reefer will ROB you of motivation.
........ it will make your ADD worse.

and, if that's what you want, that's all you get.

you can have anything you want, not everything.
........if you want dope, you'll get plenty of it.
but that's all you'll ever have.

...DO NOT ruin your life because your BF wants you too.

please.

I wish I had never seen a freaking joint.

.........I don't think it's any worse than booze, or ciggerettes.
and i don't condemn people who do it.
.....like i said.
I really did my share, and I still crave it.

but, I would NEVER encourage anyone to smoke pot.

......I assume your BF does'nt know better, but, he's put you at the cross roads of your life.
....if people don't like you like you are, they are not your friends.

if people encourage you to get high, they don't really care about you.

I care about you.

.....consider what I said.

It won't effect me whatever you do.
.....but I took the 20 minutes, of my own time, and free will, because, right now, you ARE me.
we are the same.
I wish to try and stop you from making a collosal mistake.
........ and tell you what the future is gonna be like.

a lifetime of inaccomplishment, and broken dreams.

...........to need nothing, is to have everything.

You think that's bad. :o

When I used to smoke my mum would like me more when I was high...she wouldn't know it but she always said I was easier to get along with and talk to. I used eyedrops so I wouldn't have the bloodshot eyes.

You'll find the longer you smoke, these effects of being calm will probably go away. It seems to me that long term smokers don't get that chilled out clam high anymore and often get more anxious.

that's what happened to me....
.....I can't take more than 2 hits, or I get an alfred hitchcock background.
tilted and black and white, with a racing heart, and the search for anxiety meds

....when the greif outweighs the fun, it's time to stop. *sigh*

The big question here, is do you like you better? DO not live for existance through the eyes of anyone.
Why would you risk an addiction to please another human being. You are way too strong, way too courageous, and way to important.
I know...roll your eyes, but this is true.
You have to find solitude in who you are and stand proud.
If you make this decision for your friend, then what will he want next?

Be good to you..take care of you..and remember..you have to live with you and your conscious, and often it will guide your correctly.

I've not used weed (not even once) because I don't have the social circle for it, or even the balls to find a dealer on my own (I don't trust people.)

However, I've been addicted to other substances just as bad or even worse, and it's had a very destructive effect on my life--cognitive slowing and amotivation and avolition. Health problems as well.

What I don't get is why a lot of people who use marijuana or even advocate it's use, say it's "not addictive." Physiologically, it isn't. Psychologically, however, the potential for addiction is very high and for obvious reasons.

I've known more than a few people who became psychologically addicted to marijuana and smoked every day, just like an addict of any other drug "uses" every day. It did cause a *lot* of problems for them.

My point is, don't believe the "marijuana is not addictive" crap. It can get you pretty high, just like the other illegals. That it supposedly does not cause physiological damage or cause withdrawals doesn't mean you won't want it every day.

It is very much psychologically addictive. No doubt about it, but its of the sort that you should just be solving the problems you are running away from to it in the first place.

I know how weed affect ADHD/ADD. My mom smoke weed for years is a prime example. She always telling me weed gets you nowhere in life. She has undiagnosis ADD. She knows I have tried weed, and doesn't want me to smoke anymore.

I have alot of problems I am dealing with in life. And been through alot of addiction. I have a very addictive personal. And can tell when I am getting adddict to something and when I am addicted. I guess you can call playing with fire.

Every drug affects every person differently. I'm not comfortable taking ANY drug every day if I can do without it (although I can't quit caffeine) - so I take regular 'med vacations' from pot. I would research and critically consider the effects of any drug you put into your body - prescription, illegal, over-the-counter, or natural health product. I have relatives whose lives have been ruined (or almost ruined) by alcohol, nicotine, prescription steroids, illegal steroids, prescription drug interactions, and prescription painkillers (as well as religion and gambling - I have a big extended family). Frankly, the pot smokers are probably the most successful (2 millionnaires for the potheads, 1 millionnaire amongst the churchies, none amongst the gamblers, drinkers, and prescription drug-addicted).

I know I'm stirring the pot (pun intended) here, but you can trust me... I might be stoned but I'm still the only one who can differentiate between 'affect' and 'effect'. ; )

Dude, I said I did'nt condemn anyone for doing anything.

....and you make fun of my spelling? ...I mean my stupidity? .....uhhhhh, duh, both?

now, you are more important than me.

.........and, I suppose that's important to you. .........it means nothing to me.
I'm too self absorbed in my mental condition to be concerned.

....there's a lot of people more important than me,
or I would'nt even be alive right now.

so, we're all happy.

.......you accomplished belittling people around you.

I did'nt accomplish anything in my whole life.
.....not even an honest post, to a girl who asked a question that can affect? ....her whole life negatively.

GO YOU!

.....you outta hang out with me more often, my spelling is hor able.
it makes everyone around me appear more in tell a gent.
