I am now done with Concerta 54 XR...... I actually stopped on my own 2 weeks ago. I had heard and read that Concerta can cause a "Zombie" like state and thats just how I felt..... I really didnt notice a difference. I was still tired all the time. No matter if I get 9 hours of sleep or 2 I am still fatigued big time the next day. I went to my Psychiatrist for the first time today and he agreed that Concerta can cause a "Zombie" like feeling.... He agreed stopoing the Concerta was ok, and he put me on Wellbutrin 150 XL along with increasing my Effexor to 150 from 75. Could anyone tell me what I can expect from the Wellbutrin?

I suffer from ADD, depression, and chronic fatigue that may be brought on by depression...... Its terrible it takes a freight train to get me out of bed in the morning and after 1-2 cups of coffee I could actually lay down and be asleep within 20 mins. I also have 5 month old twin girls that I think the world of but sometimes find myself trying to get them to sleep so I can during the day. I work from home.....

Any suggestions? Is my Dr/me headed the wrong way?

My husband has been on Wellbutrin for over a year. It works really wonderful for him - 60% of the time. It wares off by around 3 or 4PM and has to take another. Sometimes he forgets, and that is when I can really tell. Dr. Ned Hallowel says it is one of the most safest drug out there for ADD/ADHD w/ depression.
